Zannier Bendor in Bandol
By Adine Marion-Fichot and Laurence Gounel for Madame Figaro
“Purchased by Paul Ricard in 1950, the island of Bendor—a 7-hectare speck of land opposite Bandol—is enjoying a new lease of life. The Ricard family has joined forces with Zannier Hotels to uphold a certain art de vivre. From May onwards, Zannier Bendor will open 93 rooms spread across three venues: the Delos, with 39 rooms, exuding 1960s Riviera elegance; the Soukana, with 49 rooms dedicated to reconnection; and five Madrague houses with gardens for families.
Dining: Several restaurants and bars, with menus devised by chef Lionel Lévy, are scattered across the island. Highlights include the classic Grand Large, the Delos for simple dishes, the Soukana, an Asian restaurant, and the Nonna Bazaar, a cult favourite in Majorca. At Café Paul Ricard, Café Patrick and on the Soukana rooftop, guests can meet for a drink.
Wellness: Spanning 1,200 m², the centre features balneotherapy, the Iyashi Dome, a hammam, swimming pools… Yoga, meditation and Pilates Reformer are also on offer.
From €620 per night.
